Hi there, my name is Rick Birch and I'm thrilled to welcome you to RB Forestry Training, the culmination of my passion for forestry, firefighting, and imparting knowledge to others. With over 27 years of experience in the industry, I have dedicated my life to honing my skills and expertise, making RB Forestry Training a place where individuals can acquire valuable knowledge and practical skills.

Based in the picturesque town of Levendale, I've achieved various qualifications, including a Certificate 4 in Forestry Operations, a Cert 4 in Public Safety Firefighting Supervision, a Cert 4 in Training and Assessing, a Cert 4 in Leadership and Management, a Cert 2 in Public Safety Fire Fighting, a Sector Commander, and a Cert 4 in Workplace Health and Safety. These certifications have not only expanded my understanding of the industry but also empowered me to make a difference in the lives of others.

One of the aspects I cherish most about my work is the opportunity to pass my knowledge and expertise onto others. Being a Certified Trainer and Assessor for 27 years has allowed me to witness the growth and development of countless individuals. There's an immense sense of satisfaction in seeing my students flourish and succeed in the forestry and firefighting domains.

The decision to start RB Forestry Training was born out of a genuine concern and the desire to fill a crucial need in the industry. I recognised that the forestry sector was evolving rapidly, and there was a shortage of comprehensive training programs that could equip aspiring professionals with the right skills and knowledge. So, I took it upon myself to bridge that gap and established RB Forestry Training as a place where individuals could receive top-notch training, ensuring they are well-prepared to handle the challenges of this dynamic field.

At RB Forestry Training, we strive for excellence in every aspect. Our courses are meticulously designed, and we prioritise hands-on learning experiences to ensure that our students are job ready. Moreover, we maintain a nurturing and supportive environment, encouraging each participant to reach their full potential.

Beyond the professional realm, I am a father of three and busy spending time with them and taking them to their commitments, I’ve been a volunteer firefighter for over 35 years, and I enjoy wood cutting and work on my small hobby farm.
